Kate, Mario, & Vogue

Vogue Paris April 2013 Issue featuring Kate Moss and shot by Mario Testino: Peru Special

Mario takes us back to his motherland, Peru, for the April issue of Vogue Paris.
I really enjoy seeing the mix of culture, heritage, and fashion.
Personally being from a latin american country I feel some sort of pride being portrayed in these spread, especially because when you think of Peru you don't necessary think fashion.

Cheers lovelies,

Between Lovers

 Images via Tumblr

Saw these pictures today and I fell in love with them. I especially like the bathroom scene.
I would say it expresses romanticism perfectly.
Sitting with your lover while you take a bath and just enjoy each others company because clearly two people cannot fit in that bathtub.

Cheers Lovelies,

POP, ART & DOT IT

Fashion, just like art, is a self expression, so I love when I see fashion and art fuse together. As soon as I saw these red soles the first thing that popped into mind was Roy Lichtenstein's beautiful dotted paintings. The one bellow is one of my favourites - Girl with hair ribbon.

I than kept looking to see if I saw any other Pop Art inspired items and came across this Lizzie Fortunato banana clutch that reminded me of Andy Warhol's Banana painting.

That's all for now lovelies,

In love with McQueen.

I have a love for 18th Century based movies (or the anything Victorian styled for that matter), so it would come as no surprise that I am drooling over Alexander McQueen's Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Corsages, hoops - you know that extra frame under your dress, stockings, frills, and just looking that you spent hours getting ready.  Have I also mentioned that my favourite colour is yellow? Well it is, and that has only added to my admiration of the collection. But wait, lets go back to the corsage bit ... What can be better than emphasizing your womanly curves and just looking so god damn elegant? Nothing I tell you and that is why Alexander McQueen has been one of those designers that while I am virtually window shopping I am consistently adding his items to my cart without realizing that the items are McQueens *sigh* - one day I will press checkout.

Well, you can assure that I will be displaying more of his work, especially because I already know I want to praise over some fashion pieces of his that have me on the edge.

Cheers lovelies,

- Ana.
